Crossout is Now Remastered

Fans of the vehicle action game from Targem have probably noticed that the developers have added a word to the game's title that usually indicates serious improvements to the graphics and technical side. The MMO battles of homemade armored vehicles have indeed become noticeably better looking with the release of the recent update: improved water effects have appeared, the landscape has gained in detail, and the lighting model has become more advanced. But the changes in Crossout certainly don't end there.

Lately, the online action game has been receiving less than flattering reviews, but none of the critics have voiced any complaints about the graphics. Nevertheless, the Targem team decided to completely rework this particular part of their creation. They changed the landscape rendering scheme, adding GPU tessellation, details, and Virtual Texture technology, and also improved the handling of grass and other surfaces on the maps. Vegetation now reacts to the wheels and tracks of homemade armored vehicles. Fog and lighting have become more refined — thanks to global voxel lighting, deferred rendering, and reflection maps with parallax correction. Neither particles nor water dynamics were left out. In short, the project has taken on new colors.

In addition, the developers decided to give all users the gift pack "Mancha's Legacy", which can be obtained for free until November 22. It includes a week of premium subscription, a unique armored vehicle (like the one in the picture from the news), a cabin, guns, and other parts. The pack also includes the "Fierce Hedgehog" avatar portrait, spray paint cans, and vehicle decorations. It's also worth paying attention to the events: we're talking about "Halloween", the "Drones vs. Lizards" brawl, the "Wild Hunt", and the "Shootout".
