Sinister omens in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

The MMO shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 by Ubisoft is hard at work preparing for Halloween. To mark the occasion, the "Blood Moon: Awakening" event has launched in the game, bringing secret missions, items for changing the heroes' appearance, and new decorations on the Washington map, where agents of the "Division" task force must restore order and peace after a global catastrophe. But this time they are opposed by otherworldly forces summoned by a mysterious Necromancer.

October changes in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

The "Dark Zone" mode in The Division duology is one of the first examples of this combat format, which would later be called an extraction shooter. And it is here that the developers most often run various experiments. In the previous update, the zone was populated with undead under the Necromancer's control, and now the enemies have made their way out — into the open world of the American capital. The entire city is now plunged into twilight, jack-o'-lanterns flicker on the streets, buildings are decorated with cobwebs and giant spiders, and fog spreads along the roads lined with rusting car wrecks. In addition, storms roll in from time to time, reducing visibility in firefights and lowering the chances of victory. For adventures and battles in such conditions, heroes will be awarded Bound Slasher masks.

Moreover, during skirmishes, AI-controlled enemies can gain the "Sleepwalker" status, which increases the power of their attacks and the fire rate of their weapons. Representatives of individual gangs, including the "Hyenas", "Black Tusks" and "Outcasts", have joined the "Moon Cultists" to challenge the most skilled marksmen. These factions are especially dangerous during storms — in bad weather, they receive enhanced reinforcements. That said, operatives are capable of finding and destroying the lair of evil — to do so, they must defeat the bosses in the form of the Risen Hunter and the Necromancer. By the way, especially valuable trophies are awarded for victory.
