«Winter's Wonder» has happened in Palia

Not all games keep up with the weather. The MMO project from Singularity 6 Corporation is only getting snowdrifts after the New Year. The «Winter's Wonder» update, scheduled for release on January 13, adds to the fairy-tale world of Palia winter clothing sets, new location designs with snow, companions in the form of ferrets with backpacks, and even interior styles inspired by the Christmas theme. The developers are also sharing their plans through the end of winter — we'll tell you more about this.

A snowfall has passed over the Kilima lands, so snowdrifts lie on roofs and garden beds. In the «House of Winter Lights» add-on, you will be able to find various decorations for your heroes' dwellings, including a set of furniture recolors, and a snowman creation quest awaits users. From the 13th of this month, even more items will become available to gamers: cardigans for characters' walks in the frost, a dragon knight costume, gliders with dragon wings, plush toys, and a critter named Ferris. This is a ferret with a backpack on its back, ready to accompany its owner everywhere. The companion, by the way, can also be clad in metal armor.

Nevertheless, the developers are drawing the public's attention to gameplay changes rather than design. With the release of the January update, the notification system will change — heroes will be able to receive letters and packages at any point on the map, not just near their homesteads. A social system has also been announced that merges servers during off-peak hours so that everyone can find friends for a shared session. This means that even with low load on some servers, users will be seamlessly transferred from them to more loaded and populated ones. Planned for the future are improvements to photo mode and the creation of a new adventure zone.
