December update released for War Robots: Frontiers

The multiplayer actioner about giant robot battles has received its first update since its early access release on PC. With this update, users get a couple of machines, weapons, abilities, interface improvements and artificial intelligence. Some of these changes radically change the situation on the battlefield - we'll tell you more about them.

Patch 0.10.1 for War Robots: Frontiers

The first robot added to the game, Typhon, captures three targets at once and launches homing missiles at them. Their explosions not only cause damage to enemies, but also jam the electronics of the weapon systems. The second machine, the Griffin, is a kind of antagonist of the first - it covers itself and allies with static tension, which prevents the capture of the target. That is, homing missiles against such a robot, if you activate its ability, are ineffective. And when a projectile hits it, the Griffin distributes the damage between all parts of its armor to reduce the chance of failure of individual units.

There are also three types of light weapons in the game: the Halo, the Pulsar, and the Gozer. The first is suitable for close combat, the second is effective at medium range, and the third is best used from afar. All three novelties are characterized by moderate energy consumption, so any of them can be complemented by something more substantial. In addition, the machines got a couple of tactical skills: Blocking Field sets up a force field to provide physical cover for the team, and Smoke Wall hides a group of robots visually.
