Classic Guild Wars re-release launched

ArenaNet has announced the release of the updated version of the MMORPG, to which they added the subtitle Reforged. It is now available in popular digital stores like Steam, as well as on the official website. Unlike the second part, which is offered for free, the remaster of the original must be paid for. However, the game offers translation of the interface and subtitles into Russian, as well as an expanded set of content collected by the developers over 20 years. This is not only about the role-playing system and quests, but also about three full-fledged campaigns. We discuss the release in more detail.

A genre classic that is already entering its third decade allows you to remember the good old days when the choice of MMORPGs was smaller, but each one offered a unique experience. The remaster of the classic game allows gamers to return to the expanses of Tyria to once again repel the invasion of evil forces and complete three global storylines: Factions, Prophecies and Nightfall. In addition, the user immediately has access to eight character slots, where it is allowed to keep heroes for PvP and PvE battles, equipping and leveling them differently. In other words, you can defend Ascalon from the Charr invasion with one fighter, go through trials with another, and take a third into battle with heroes controlled by real people.

All other content accumulated in the project during its existence has also been added to the game: development within dozens of professions is available, using hundreds of samples of weapons, armor and other equipment. In other words, Reforged is a complete edition that doesn't require downloading any updates, which is why they made it paid. In addition, the client has been adapted for modern systems, including Steam Deck. Nevertheless, at launch the game encountered some difficulties due to server load. At the moment, the developers are busy solving this problem.
