A major update for Once Human has been released

The MMO shooter about the adventures of meta-humans on an extinct Earth has received an update taking up about 2.3 GB on a computer. The team at Starry Studio has prepared access to different modes from a single account, a large amount of content, a battle pass, and optimizations. Even fans of virtual world building will be satisfied—they've simplified creative tasks. Let's delve into what gamers should expect with the improvements to Once Human up to version 2.0.1.

How has Once Human changed in July 2025?

For convenience, the developers have split the adventures on the regular map and RaidZone, where you must survive and fight in PvP format, into two separate modes. However, access to them will be available from a single character account—nothing prevents you from fighting in both places with the same hero. Or, if you prefer, create different fighters. Each mode has its own items that affect balance. Transferring such objects from one account to another is prohibited (unlike characters). As for the battle pass, it is shared between the regular world and RaidZone.

Important technical changes have been made to the project. Specifically, up to 100 players can now play simultaneously on the same user server, and a ping indicator has been added with a warning about overload due to a large number of users in the PvP zone. The developers also reported updates to the virtual store's assortment and the prizes from the Wish Machine. As for building, its menu now allows placing fences on foundations and ceilings, as well as applying improved wallpaper. A built-up area can be moved in flight mode without being tied to the terrain, and the movement range has been expanded.
