Overwatch 2's big update has been released
Blizzard doesn't often delight users of its online shooter with the release of updates, especially such large-scale ones. In the sixteenth season, which was named "Stadium", there will be a mode of the same name, and also the heroine Freya, armed with a deadly crossbow, alternative character appearances and balance edits. And those who will get the premium will be able to assemble a real rock band from the heroes. This is the second Overwatch 2 add-on for the year - the first one was released in February and added a system of perks.

Stadium mode will not be temporary - it is being unlocked once and for all, so it will be the third of the existing permanent formats, including competitive and quick matches. The battle on this location is conducted up to seven victories with the earning of virtual money at the end of each stage. You can use the money to upgrade your hero in the Arsenal while the break between rounds lasts. During the fight you can switch from third-person to first-person view at any time, and there is also a choice of 17 fighters right at the start - according to the developers, the roster will become wider in the future.
Participants of the themed seasonal event Stadium: Initiation will earn cosmetic items for their successes on the battlefield, including looks from the All-Star Juno set. The update also opened up access to a heroine named Freya, who belongs to the Damage class. Her main weapon is a crossbow, which she wields at close range. Her ability set also includes the "Quick Dash", which allows her to change positions in a couple of moments, and the "Upward Flow" to evade enemy attacks. The character's Ultimatum Strike not only damages opponents, but also binds them together, which opens up many variations for tactics.
In competitive matches, character bans have become available - just in case all gamers agree that certain actors give too much advantage. On the other hand, fighters are allowed to be decorated as they please and change their appearance, which will be especially easy for owners of premium collections, which now feature rock band-style looks.
