Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream has been released

Japanese publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has released a new installment of the SAO series, called Fractured Daydream, in honor of its tenth anniversary, available now on various platforms, including Steam. The anime-inspired game offers gamers the chance to form large squads and challenge different monsters, while also taking on story quests in co-op mode. All the fan-favorite characters are here, such as Asuna, Kirito and Leafa. Let's find out what else is known so far.

The game is set in the altered universe of Alfheim Online, where the Galaxia system has confused space and time lines, so that the characters find themselves in an unfamiliar reality. The story campaign can be played alone and without internet connection - the hero will meet friends, enemies and fight with monsters. And then it makes sense to break into cooperative modes: quest mode for groups, raid and Free Roam, where the squad members simply explore the world and accept any challenges that it has prepared for them.

What is remarkable in Fractured Daydream is that users can gather in a company of up to twenty people - against some bosses with fewer fighters simply will not go out. Also there is a cross-platform, when PC owners are in the same session with mobile gamers. The game is available in Standard Edition, which already includes two add-ons, and Digital Premium Edition, which gives you access to the mini-game, soundtrack, exclusive stamp set, digital artbook, costumes from Prism Heart collection and Wild Joker dress.
