Subnautica 2 is out — now with multiplayer

The original game about survival in a fantastic ocean was strictly a solo adventure, but the developers from Unknown Worlds Entertainment have equipped Subnautica 2 with a full-fledged online mode. You can arrange a joint swim with friends, explore the main mysteries of the ocean together, build a seabed base, and challenge the most dangerous creatures inhabiting the depths of the water. Gamers will be pleased to know that the novelty supports the Russian language from the start and is available in our region.

The premise of the plot is typical for this kind of work. You take on the role of a colonist sent by the Alterra corporation from the war-torn old world to develop a distant uninhabited planet. But the expedition of the Cicada ship did not go according to plan, and now the brave colonizers must survive in dangerous conditions, gathering resources and somehow arranging their everyday life. There are no other options, because the fate of all humanity is in your hands. Any item will come in handy, be it seaweed or a stone, or even an exotic living creature. Fortunately, this time the hero does not act alone — other survivors from the Cicada under the control of your friends can join him. In an online session, you can assemble a squad of four people.

The game is currently in early access, so users risk encountering some technical difficulties. The recommended system requirements include Windows 11, an Intel Core i7-13700 or AMD Ryzen 7 7700X processor, 16 GB of RAM and 50 GB of permanent storage, as well as a graphics card at the level of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT. The cost of the novelty at the moment is about 1800 rubles.
