Aion 2's second season has launched worldwide

The developers of the Korean MMORPG Aion 2 announced the start of a new season, planned for all game versions simultaneously — both regional and global. Players can look forward to new boss raids, class-specific tweaks, and rewards for achievements. It's worth mentioning separately the reset of resources and currency accumulated from completing previous quests — while new types of consumables will remain active until the end of March. Let's take a closer look at what heroes of the fairy-tale lands should prepare for.

The main content of the update is bosses and everything related to them. In the PvE expedition mode, users will encounter the «Nest of the Dead Dramata», where the dragon Corrupted Durbati challenges the heroes. And in the «Cradle of Nothingness» awaits the dragon lord Bertira, who tried to become the most powerful being but only succeeded in becoming the most vicious monster. Another seasonal dungeon is the «Sunken Temple of Life», where people once prayed to the goddess Justiel, but now it's inhabited by monsters like the ghost in Emon's armor. A bruiser named Composite Bagot is ready to rough up brave hunters who come after him inside the «Erosion Purification Station». As you can see, the roster of powerful opponents is substantial — and profitable if you manage to defeat them all.

To these monsters, we should add seven solo raid bosses that come with the update. Players are also invited to two battles, «Paphnaite Factory» and «Heart of Orcus», and two more awakening battles. Character class and combat system adjustments primarily affected secondary effects. In particular, damage to stunned targets has been increased, while ability cooldown times have been reduced. Finally, there are minor changes to the properties of heroes of different specializations.
