'Mountain Climb' and rubber ducks in ARC Raiders

Embark studio has updated their sci-fi extraction shooter ARC Raiders to version 1.45.0. According to the developers, this is the last major update before the release of the 'Frostpath' DLC, scheduled for October 8. In the meantime, players can take part in the 'Mountain Climb' project, dress up their characters in the 'Hornet Hunter' suit, and decorate their virtual bunker with fun community items. They'll also need to spend in-game currency on something useful while the shooter still uses the old economy.

The 'Mountain Climb' project is connected to mysterious signals received by Shani — one of the merchants in the underground city and an NPC who gives quests. Unfortunately, the trail leads to a mountain range that raiders from Speranza cannot reach. Apollo has a solution, but implementing it will require the help of many heroes. As they prepare for this mission, the developers advise investing remaining credits (in-game currency) in valuable items, since in a month, with the release of 'Frostpath', this payment method will be discontinued. Good prices on goods will remain at Shani's shop until October 8. Earned or purchased rewards will stay with their owners.

The Embark team continues to introduce fan-created content into their shooter. This time, rubber ducks serve as community decorations — they'll help create a cozy atmosphere in any raider's underground bunker. Finally, the developers reported fixing a number of bugs, including audio glitches and AI behavior, and reminded players about the option to purchase the 'Hornet Hunter' armor set with credits.
