Valve suddenly returned CS:GO to Steam
After the release of the second numbered part of Counter-Strike, the first release of the team shooter, known as Global Offensive, was closed. Gamers somehow adapted to the new release and didn't even think that GO would ever be revived. However, it happened: the classic was returned to the store shelf, equipped with the same description, free access, and a set of localizations. However, «Counter» was revived with a reduced set of modes — we'll tell you more about that.
What's happening now with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive?

Actually, it was possible to launch GO before, but it required fiddling with settings in the digital store client. And now the game is available exactly as before — for free and in the standard Steam assortment. Anyone can install it on their computer without any tricks. But it's worth keeping in mind that the shooter's servers are still turned off: you can only fight against bots, but on all familiar maps. Despite the absence of classic online modes, after the review counter was reset, the action game has gathered tens of thousands of extremely positive reviews and more than 50,000 active users.
It's still unknown what Valve's plans are regarding CS:GO. Whether this was an experiment to find out how many people miss the previous part of the famous series, or simply an excuse to provide gamers with a platform to practice accuracy and reaction speed — remains to be seen. And for those who don't have time to figure out the developers' intentions, they can simply remember the old days and launch a match with bots on «Inferno».
