Let's Live Together: Game Pass May Appear on Steam
For a long time Valve's digital store did without its own subscription service. Because the head of the company Gabe Newell did not see the need for it - the platform users already received everything they needed, including various promotions with discounts. However, the other day he told reporters that he did not rule out the possibility of cooperation with Microsoft and the introduction of Game Pass.
Game Pass inside Steam - is it real?
In fact, the Valve platform already has experience in integrating third-party subscription services - just remember the addition of EA Play in 2020. But there has been no talk about its own development so far. Gabe Newell confirmed in a recent conversation with reporters that such projects are not planned. Nevertheless, Game Pass has a good chance of appearing on Steam. "It's clearly a relevant option for Microsoft customers, and we'd love to work together," Newell noted.
To clarify for those who don't know: Game Pass is a service of access to a range of games from different publishers, available on PC and Xbox consoles. The advantage for the gamer is that for a modest and regular payment he gets a set of titles at once, which separately would cost much more. Microsoft will be announcing important updates to the catalog in March, so anyone interested in this topic is encouraged to stay tuned.
