Changes are coming to BattleBit Remastered
For several months now, the developers of the online shooter BattleBit Remastered, which graphically resembles Minecraft, have been preparing the release of the Operation Overhaul update. With it, not only a large amount of content will be added to the game, but also significant visual improvements. Which is very timely, since lately things haven't been going very well for the Battlefield parody: recent reviews on Steam have become negative, many users note problems with launching the client, and the creators of the project themselves have no other explanations for this, except for increased security measures and the fight against cheaters.
What to expect from Operation Overhaul in BattleBit Remastered?

As you know, the shooter is being created by the efforts of a small and independent team, limited in time and resources. Nevertheless, the SgtOkiDoki team has done a great job improving the graphical component, as much as the voxel engine allows. With the update, fog and rays will appear on the maps, changing the shades of the environment depending on the time of day, and the glow effects will also be redone. An evolution of shadows is also promised — thanks to the Ambient Occlusion effect, which calculates the intensity of light reaching each point on the shaded surface. Finally, the draw distance will be increased.
On November 29, testing of the add-on will begin, available to all owners of the game. To check out the new content, gamers will be able to battle on the Kodiak, Mesa and Valley maps with all the gadgets and guns available in the arsenal, but without saving progress after the OBT ends, as well as without access to the shooting range and quick matches. To also become a participant in this event, you need to find the shooter in your Steam library, right-click on it, select the «Properties» item, and then «Betas», where you should switch to «beta — Operation Overhaul test».
