Free-to-play Aniimo will be released in September
There are a great many games with monster taming that imitate the mechanics of Pokémon. Pawprint studio offers gamers its own take on the familiar genre: in the game Aniimo, the trainer can transform into their pet themselves to gain skills necessary for solving puzzles or winning in combat. A feature of the new game will be a PvPvE mode, reminiscent of extraction shooters, where squads of gamers must head to a separate map and acquire rare creatures, and also fight among themselves.
What is known about Aniimo at the moment?

The game will be free-to-play, and its release date — September 16 — was announced on the PlayStation website, meaning for consoles, although the PC version in Steam is still accompanied by the inscription "Coming Soon", without any specifics. The action of the new game will unfold in an open world, where the hero travels, overcomes obstacles, fights enemies, and collects a collection of beasts, each of which possesses unique talents. The main mode is announced as single-player, with a strong role-playing component. And the unique mechanic will be transforming into one of the monsters from the collected menagerie — instead of indirect control, as in Pokémon. The continent where all events will take place is called Idyllia — and it is designed to match the name.
As for multiplayer, the gameplay will allow challenging other heroes to find out whose tamed monsters are stronger. Besides such duels, there will also appear an "Egg Heist" mode: in it, gamers team up into groups of three participants and together head to the Lost Islands, where other squads also arrive. It will be necessary not only to search for rare creature eggs but also to compete with rivals, just like in any PvPvE shooter with evacuation. Russian language for the game is not announced yet, and to launch it, a graphics card of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 level will be required.
