"Dark Carnival" has started in Dota 2

Fans of the most popular MOBA game have waited for another portion of story and additional activities. All this, the developers from Valve combined within the "Dark Carnival" expansion. Gamers in Dota 2 will find a backstory presented as a comic translated into Russian, five new automaton incarnations for familiar heroes, twenty collections, and a mini-game with rewards available for picking a specific character in regular matches. So far, only the first part of the event — "Nightmare" — has been released. In terms of plot, this chapter is dedicated to how Tresdin and Prokhvostka search for a way out of a giant train-prison in the form of a line of spiders, where each car is both an attraction and a trial. But the prisoners' escape is hindered by robots, whose owner is on familiar terms with universal evil that enslaves worlds. From the comics, available to everyone for free from the update page, it becomes known that the heroines ended up in this creepy machine not just by chance, but because of a conflict between the legionnaires of the Stonehall empire and the partisans of Mielninetsk.

To participate in additional activities, you simply need to "pick" different heroes in matches, getting tickets for your choice. Then they should be invested in the mini-game to unlock a reward and a part of the story adventure. Numerous rewards are announced, including discount coins, accessories, candies, and carnival souvenirs. And the main prize will be five automaton skins for the heroes Axe, Oracle, Legion Commander, Morphling, and Bristleback, but they are all available for an additional fee.
