The Division Resurgence will soon be released on Steam

This MMO action game covers the events that occurred between the plots of the first and second parts of the series, but it was originally released for mobile devices running iOS and Android. Soon PC owners will also be able to play it — Ubisoft announced the upcoming release on Steam. Moreover, the shooter will be made free-to-play, so access to it will be available to everyone. As fans of games based on Tom Clancy's books know, the action of the first "Division" is set in winter New York after a Christmas pandemic caused by infected banknotes. The metropolis was emptied, residents either died or hid in their homes, and fighters of a special unit must clear the streets of looters and killers, using not only weapons but also various gadgets. The squad has bases serving as hubs where you can get missions and replenish supplies, and the rest of the locations are combat zones. The plot of the second part of the series already moved the heroes to the US capital — Washington city. But the events of both action games are separated by seven months, and Resurgence tells exactly what happened during this period.

Fighters will have to return to New York to fight back against numerous criminals, either alone or in a group. Gamers will face PvP and PvE format battles, and the "Dark Zone" is still there — one of the first extraction modes in the genre. Character and equipment upgrades will be available, as well as the open world of the city, but don't expect miracles from the graphics — after all, it's a port of the mobile version. However, an expensive video card won't be needed to run it: judging by the recommended system requirements, an NVIDIA GTX 1650 or a similar accelerator from another brand will be enough.
