Testing and Pre-order for ARC Raiders

Embark, a studio founded by former Electronic Arts employees known for the dynamic multiplayer shooter The Finals, has shared news about its next project ARC Raiders. From October 17 to 19, test servers will be launched in the game, inviting all interested players, and in addition, pre-orders are already available. The release date, as a reminder, is set for the 30th of next month, and the action game will be available on all popular digital distribution platforms, including Steam.

There's not much time left until the full launch of the game, so the upcoming open beta test is the last of its kind. The good news is that everyone is invited to participate—there will be no application selection or code distribution. It's known that the test version will include an area called Dam Battlegrounds, as well as base development elements, allowing users to experience more than just shootouts. Progress made during the OBT will not carry over to the release, but some bonuses are still promised to testers. Also, right now there's a chance to pre-order and receive unique Scrappy Cowboy and Astro sets, which include hero appearance customizations.

The action takes place on Earth in the future, after an attack by intelligent ARC machines. A handful of brave warriors fight among the ruins against machines and collect loot to upgrade their gear. The game features an evacuation mechanic—after each raid, characters must escape the map to a safe location. Between battles, raiders spend their time in the underground shelter Speranza, where everyone is free to set up their own base. But even for this, resources obtained in battles on the planet's surface will be needed.
