Now for free: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege X has been released

Ubisoft has updated the online action game about the battles of special forces operatives and tactical destruction of walls, adding the letter X to its name. After the relaunch the game became free, while before Rainbow Six Siege you had to pay for it. But that's not all: in the new version the shooter has improved graphics and advanced destruction system, and also added "Dual Front" mode, exotic items and full 3D-sound. We tell you what fans of the popular project get after all these changes.

The question immediately arises, will there be any compensation for those who paid for the game and have been fans of it for a long time? Of course, there will be. Prizes are awarded depending on the number of years spent by the user in multiplayer. Among other things you can get skins, badges and other decorations. On the other hand, the matches will become more interesting, because the maps now have 4K-textures with improved lighting model, more realistic destructions and improved character animations. Not that the changes were radical, but still the shooter became a bit more beautiful, and this will be the main reward for old and new Rainbow fans.

In the "Dual Front" mode two teams of six people fight, and you can choose from 35 operatives. Skills and weapons can be combined as you like, there is a revival mechanic, and the map for these battles, according to Ubisoft employees, has become the largest in the game. Nevertheless, the processes launched at the start of the project are still in effect. In particular, the second season of the tenth year is coming - and brings with it Operation Daybreak, as well as another battle pass with a lot of prizes for activity and a new operative.
