Not all pixel games are made according to the classic rules - sometimes it's just a visual stylization of antiquity. With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge it's a different story. The action both looks and feels like a throwback to the Sega Mega Drive era. Which is not surprising, because the development involved the experts of the beat'em up genre - the people responsible for Streets of Rage 4 and Mercenary Kings. And the novelty is distinguished by the cooperative mode, bringing back memories of the good old days.

The game focuses on the fight between Ninja Turtles and their sworn enemy Shredder, and the action unfolds on a variety of New York City locations from Manhattan to Coney Island. The project is designed exactly according to the TV series from 1987, so here we will meet all the classic characters, including Splinter, Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, and of course April. Each fighter has a set of standard strikes as well as special attacks, and you won't find two characters with the same fighting style, which adds variety to the clashes with the enemies.

An important feature of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge has become a co-op mode with up to six gamers at once. For example, you can take control of the four heroes from the sewers, their teacher rat and April. And multiplayer is organized in such a way that everyone can sit at one screen, play with split-screen or connect to the session via internet.
