Testing of Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer has begun

It would, of course, be great if the developers at CD Projekt RED themselves took on the multiplayer mode of their action RPG. But in this case, the initiative was taken up by enthusiasts from among the people. They named their project Open//77, and it is a full-fledged RP expansion. In it, you can take on different roles, play a local analog of "Gwent", participate in races, team up for boss raids, and arrange PvP battles. To install the modification, you need to have the original licensed game.

The CDPR staff themselves initially intended to equip their brainchild with multiplayer, but amid fixing numerous bugs they never got around to implementing this plan. So amateurs took on the job instead of professionals. For several years they teased fans of the fantastic "Cyberpunk" universe with intermediate results and technical demonstrations, until, finally, they presented an alpha version, whose client can be downloaded for free right now. To do this, you need to visit the official website and click the Download Launcher button. Just make sure that an official copy of Cyberpunk 2077 is already installed on your computer.

The expansion is built according to the rules of numerous RP servers, although creating worlds with their own rules is not yet possible here — gamers only have access to sets of presets and activities. However, it is allowed to generate any characters using a versatile editor. There is also a division of heroes into roles — each has their own tasks in Night City: while some break the laws, others make sure they are upheld, and some even make money driving taxis or working in courier service. Cars are adapted for tuning, which will come in handy for fans of racing competitions in PvP mode. Other contests — shootouts and card games with collecting your own decks.
