The old-fashioned action game No Such Place will be released on October 14

Extraction shooters are taking on the most unusual forms, just as was once the case with "battle royales". ChillyRoom has presented its take on familiar battles: the new game No Such Place will feature an isometric projection and retro-style 2.5D graphics. Everyone who has ever launched Escape from Tarkov or ARC Raiders will immediately understand the rest. The heroes need to get onto the map, gather loot, fight off enemies, and make a timely getaway safe and sound. The developers have already announced that their project will launch in Steam early access on October 14 of this year.

The new title stands out not only for its old-fashioned graphics but also for its setting. Here, agents of the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.) face anomalous phenomena and monsters, and also gather information that will later help close a portal to another dimension, from which monsters penetrate our world. All of this is somewhat reminiscent of the TV series Stranger Things, which is, of course, a plus for the game. At the same time, the shooter offers classic genre mechanics, including weapon assembly, the eternal "sliding puzzle" in the inventory, and setting up a personal hideout. In addition, there is RPG-style progression, meaning characters can upgrade various stats that are useful in raids.

The developers emphasize the possibility of exotic weapon customization — for example, it will be possible to attach a car muffler to a rifle. With early access, the game will open only part of the map and additional missions, as well as an incomplete set of modes — for now, only single-player PvE battles and four-player co-op. As for full multiplayer, it will probably appear later. At the moment, Steam store users can download a free demo to their PCs.
