S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl was scheduled for April 28, 2022. But not all fans believed in the punctuality of the developers, especially against the background of the fact that there is still very little detailed information about the shooter. Blogger OLDboi, citing an anonymous source, reported that the release has been postponed until the fall. Two days later, an employee of the GSC Game World studio commented on this statement in the Discord messenger. And now the clarity has been finally brought.

Every now and then around one of the most anticipated games of our time hype. Fresh is the tale of the abolition of NFT (non-interchangeable tokens), on which the GSC staff went under pressure from the public. The next topic of the day was the possible postponement of the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 because the shooter is not yet ready. That is the inside shared on January 9 YouTube-blogger OLDboi. Reaction from the developers has been slow: only on the 11th of January community project manager, known as HappyCulkin, said that such news can not be trusted:

"All information that comes out about the game has to come from those who DO this game. As far as I know, bloggers are not working on S2," HappyCulkin noted. Meanwhile, there was no denial of the rumors. But a representative of GSC Game World shared some concerns. In particular, he did not rule out that his team will move to a remote location because of the coronavirus pandemic, although the developers have recently returned from their homes to the office.

On the evening of January 12 the unverified information was confirmed. The release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl was still postponed until December 8, 2022. Recall that this is an ambitious actioner with a first-person perspective, a full-fledged story, mutants, anomalies and gang war stalkers in the open world of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. According to official reports, the game will be released on PC and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
