Wildgate's development plans revealed
Moonshot Games, the studio behind the PvP shooter about space battles, has shared its ideas for the project's development. Two months have passed since the release of Wildgate — it's high time to announce and prepare some major updates. And they are coming soon. Players can expect the launch of the first season with a new mode, flights on small two-seater ships, and the Hallowed Beyond event. Additionally, it has been revealed that there will be a free access promotion by the end of the year.
How will Wildgate change this fall?

According to the developers, they have identified three main issues with their game based on player complaints. These include a lack of content, the absence of battle modes for solo players or duos, and unconvincing match balance. All three issues will be addressed by the end of fall. First, Moonshot staff assured players that improved matchmaking algorithms are already in the works. Second, the first season is coming, and with it, battles in an experimental mode. This mode is another variation of an extraction shooter: players must enter the Limit and collect as much loot as possible before an explosion occurs. Here, players can fight against NPC ships, teams, and solo players, but all this will likely only be available to test in November.
The season will also bring an expansion to the fleet of starships — a two-seater vehicle will be added for those who prefer a small crew. Changes to the arsenal have also been announced — more details will be shared later. The Hallowed Beyond event starts on October 23. It is tied to Halloween, so special locations themed around vampires and ghosts will be created for it. Newcomers won't be left out either — starting at the beginning of next month, there will be an XP boost for heroes and an AI-bot assistant.
