Looks like Dark Souls. New MMORPG from the authors of Warframe

Digital Extremes studio, which is responsible for the space ninja action game Warframe, presented their new work at TennoCon conference. We don't know a lot of details about Soulframe yet, but the main points are already known. The most important is that Soulframe is not directly related to the Warframe universe, and the design is very different. If the previous game has something to do with science fiction, here - with fantasy.

The developers have already announced that access to the new game they plan to make free. Heroes will be free to travel the open world, and all the battles are made with an emphasis on edged weapons and melee combat. Judging by the video posted recently on YouTube, Soulframe's design is subtly similar to Dark Souls and Elden Ring, plus there's a postmortem adventure motif. But there are no parallels in the combat and role-playing system. At the heart of this adventure, if we believe the official data, is the exploration of the virtual universe and fighting teams of heroes with enemies under the control of AI, that is PvE.

A peaceful location will be created for rest and communication between fights. And so that the open world does not bore, adventurers will be able to go to the underground caves, which are randomly generated. Inside will be waiting monsters and prizes for the victory over them. It is known that work on Soulframe is underway at least since 2019, but the first trailer of the game the authors have presented only now, and the release date is still unknown.
