More PvP is coming soon to Pax Dei

The employees of Mainframe Industries continue to fight for players' hearts by changing all the mechanics of their medieval fantasy-themed MMO sandbox for this purpose. This time, they decided to focus on battles between players themselves, specifically clan wars over resources and territories. A whole map will be allocated specifically for such conflicts, although open-world PvP throughout the virtual world of Pax Dei is still not planned. The next announced step is the development of a feudal claims system. For now, let's talk about how hero battles between players will soon change.

What will change in Pax Dei in fall 2025?

To allow feudal lords to freely challenge each other, the fourth version of the game will rework a province called Lyonesse. It will cover an area of 10 square kilometers and be divided into five zones—one in the center and four at the corners, with the corner zones allowing heroes to access quite dangerous PvE locations. According to the developers' vision, the freedom of PvP on this map will lead to players being more inclined to form alliances, build castles on captured territories, and wage wars. In addition to land, two new resources—ambergrasp and canonite—will become valuable here. These will need to be gathered for alchemical reactions and jewelry crafting.

The second phase of planned changes is related to seasons. The fact is that Heartlands doesn't have them, but Lyonesse will. The first season, as the game's authors report, will last six months. It will bring updated content that will allow for more efficient exploration of new lands. And since only guild members can claim territories in PvP zones, this will lead to the formation of large and diverse feudal settlements. Finally, a knighthood system has been announced. Knights will be able to swear fealty to each other, forming a complex social hierarchy, whereas currently, there are effectively only alliance leaders and regular players.
