A collaboration between Apex Legends and Cyberpunk 2077 is starting soon

This collaboration has been a long time coming, as the battle royale action of Apex Legends by Respawn studio takes place in a world partly inspired by cyberpunk motifs. And now there's also a perfect occasion for a collaboration — the release of the second season of the anime series Edgerunners based on the game by CD Projekt RED. So fans of the online shooter can look forward to meeting familiar characters and battles among settings glowing with neon and holograms. The event will run from the 14th of this month through August 4th.

At the start of the event, players will receive a set of cosmetic skins for existing legends: you'll be able to play as V, Panam Palmer, Jackie Welles, Royce, Rebecca, and other mercenaries from the city that never sleeps. In addition, the developers will offer everyone to install implants. "Sandevistan" will allow you to dash in any direction to evade enemy attacks, while "Blackwall Breach" will help you enter cyberspace and reposition, then unleash a powerful electromagnetic pulse. But you should be careful with "chrome," as using it too frequently will trigger a cyberpsychosis episode in your character — it will make the fighter stronger and faster, but strip them of all skills along with firearms, shields, and grenades.

The "E Block" location is styled after Night City: skyscrapers glow with neon here, holographic projections float in the air, and screens on the walls constantly show the same advertisement. This map can be captured by battling another team in "Joker" mode. Among the prize items added to the game, it's worth noting a new weapon collection, including the famous pistol with an unstable AI "Skippy." And in the store after July 14th, several themed bundles will appear — for example, "Kang Tao Spectrum" for Mirage and "Arasaka Flight Protocol" for Valkyrie.
