Storming a destructible fortress in Conan Exiles
The sandbox game with elements of survival and construction in the universe of Robert Howard's books has received an update dedicated to siege work. The action of the third chapter of the Age of War add-on takes the heroes to the heart of the desert Stygia, where the walls of the Al-Merayah stronghold stand. Only brave warriors will be able to conquer it, gaining not only glory, but also a generous reward. The assaults will begin on December 14 this year.

According to the developers, the idea of this activity was suggested to them by Howard's works, who was interested in the change of eras, the transition from civilization to barbarism and back again. Al-Merayah symbolizes the cycle of destruction and construction - gamers could see it in another MMO game by Funcom, The Secret World. The Stygians built a new castle on the ancient ruins, and after its destruction there will be something else - and so on through the centuries. The users of the fantasy action movie will soon become a part of this historical process.
The peculiarity of the fortress is that it is assembled from separable blocks. During the siege and attack, you can destroy towers and individual houses, break through the walls to then fight the commander of the defenders Bakt-Nimlot. Although the mission is organized according to PvE rules, you'll need a whole squad to complete the task - loners won't accomplish much. Either enchantments or machines like trebuchets can help you break through gaps in cover, while conventional weapons can help you fight your opponents. They will not sit idly by - they will shoot at the attackers with bows and throw pots with incendiary mixture at them. But inside, a treasure trove awaits the victors.
