Scrap Mechanic leaves Early Access

After ten long years of tests, alpha and beta versions, studio Axolot Games announced the release of its open-world and multiplayer 'sandbox' in its final form. The developers announced this in the trailer for patch 1.0 Drilling Thunder, which will be presented to the public on July 24 — on this exact day the game will become what it was intended to be from the very beginning. In the meantime, fans of survival simulators can take advantage of a 33% discount on Scrap Mechanic in Steam — it will remain valid until the 9th of this month.

What makes Scrap Mechanic interesting?

At the core of the game are survival mechanics in a large open world and a builder with almost endless variability, like in Minecraft. You will have to go to a distant agricultural planet, where all processes were supposed to be managed by robots, but due to a malfunction, the machines went out of control. Now they must be secured, dismantled for spare parts, and put to good use. The gameplay allows you to assemble a variety of mechanisms — both for developing your own farm, and for moving around the map, and for extracting resources. Moreover, you can do this not alone, but together with friends, creating a multiplayer session for everyone.

In the virtual world, the team can not only build and fight off hostile robots, but also search for treasures, simultaneously discovering new locations. The game offers several modes to choose from: regular survival, creativity, when enemies do not interfere with the heroes, and challenges — here you must complete 40 stages to become a true mechanic, ready for any challenges of an alien planet. Scrap Mechanic has support for custom modifications, which allowed adding thousands of new parts for assembly, and in addition, the project has Russian localization.
