The Russian team became the best at the CS:GO championship
Just yesterday the virtual battles of the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022 thundered. This Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition is considered the largest in the world. As Championat writes, the first place was won by the Outsiders team, formed mainly from the Russian division of Virtus.pro. At the end of the event gamers confidently defeated their opponents from Denmark.
Outsiders performance at the tournament
The team included four Russians and one citizen of Kazakhstan. In the final battle, held on November 13, the guys met with five Heroic who came from Denmark and crushed the rivals without a trace. If the skirmish on the first card ended with a close score of 16-12, the second round dotted the i's and the Outsiders took the grand prize of the tournament.
The prize fund of the competition was $1.25 million. Of which the Russians took 500,000, the Danes, who took second place, got 170,000, and the bronze was divided between the Europeans from MOUZ and Brazilian FURIA Esports. It is interesting that at first Outsiders lost to MOUZ team, however, quickly returned to the course, beating three of the favorites. On reaching the legendary league, the Russians lost the match against Heroic, but still got their revenge in the climactic battle.
