Swedes sell Russian publisher Innova

The Innova brand is known to all gamers who play Blade & Soul, Black Desert, Lineage 2 and other popular MMORPGs that were published in Russian. After all, this studio is engaged in their localization in Russia. Recently it became known that the Swedish group Enad Global 7, which has owned "Innova" since March 2021, intends to sell its subsidiary. The details of the upcoming deal were published on the official website of the holding.

According to the data announced by the Enad Global 7 group of companies, the Russian publishing house will be sold to its managers for 32 million euros. It is noted that the deal must still be voted on by the shareholders' meeting, and in addition, approval from the Russian authorities may be required. Interest is also the amount of the sale: if in 2021, "Innova" was acquired by the Swedes for 109.8 million euros, now it is estimated three times cheaper. In a year of cooperation, the studio brought in 13% of EG7's total revenue. As the holding company's management notes in an open letter, the breakup will benefit both parties.

As for the developer studio Toadman Interactive, which has a branch in Russia, its staff will be moved from Moscow and Tver to Western or Eastern Europe. The move, as noted by Enad Global 7, may affect some projects. Nevertheless, officials of the holding company note that Innova and Toadman Interactive will receive full support for this transitional period.
