On this occasion the staff of the studio Jagex made a festival with gifts distribution, encouragement of newbies and interesting activities for old fans in the virtual world. The event began on August 8 and will last a month - until early September.

To participate in the festival, you must find a character named Party Pete. He's ready to give away a total of 300,000,000 experience points, based on the number of accounts. Of course, not all of them are active right now, but the more solid the gifts are. Also, the showman must collect fragments of holiday orbs - for these you can get a variety of cosmetic items and more practical items. The reward depends on the rarity of the balloons, divided into colors for convenience. Also, until August 22 will be doubling the experience for beginners. The way this works is that you have a 48-hour timer for the bonus - you can start and stop it at any time at your discretion.

Waiting for the gifts and treasure hunters - they also get double the experience, as well as valuable resources in the chests. From now on, RuneScape allows you to enter the "Abyss" without opponents, that is, with disabled PvP mode. Finally, the developers shared some technical changes and said that the game will soon stop running on 32-bit Windows builds and graphics cards without support for OpenGL 3.0 and following versions.
