Release of Resident Evil and Outlast multiplayer parts
Two popular horror universes received multiplayer versions. The first was the Resident Evil series on October 28. And although Re:Verse is only distributed in a bundle with the eighth part of the series, it is actually an independent project. Second came the studio employees Red Barrels, announcing the beginning of the beta testing The Outlast Trials. Let's talk about both events in more detail.
Resident Evil and Outlast are now online fighters?
In short, yes. For Resident Evil it's not the first attempt to give fans a battle in multiplayer, because there was also a failed Resistance. It seems that there were much higher expectations for Re:Verse, but the project has already gained mixed reviews on Steam. According to the rules, participants choose different characters from Resident Evil, including the anti-heroes. You can, for example, to be in the role of Tyrant and challenge the cops from S.T.A.R.S. All battles are built like a classic deathmatch: there is a team of good guys and a gang of bad guys, those and others fight among themselves until the winners are revealed. To take part in these battles, you need to buy a special set with RE: Village, which is now available at a discount.
The Outlast Trials is the debut multiplayer project in the series. And it will be available separately from any single-player games. Events unfold during the Cold War, and a group of heroes must survive in a confrontation with monsters and maniacs, who escaped from the secret laboratories. However, as long as users can take part only in the closed beta test, which will last until November 1 inclusive. Then there will be organized other stages of testing, applications for which are accepted on Steam and on the official website of the game. The project's trailer is available on YouTube
