The Finnish Remedy studio, where Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control were created, has been overlooked by the recent events. Meanwhile, the team Sam Lake, all is not so bad: the developers count the profit, summing up the results of its activities, engaged in new creative work and make plans for the 2023-2025. All of this information they recently shared with the press.

Briefly about the studio's plans

Although the latest release of the Finns was a remaster of the original Alan Wake, which came out in October 2021, we are waiting for high-profile premieres. According to the report, at the end of the year Remedy Entertainment has earned 44.7 million euros, which was 8.9% more than the previous result for the same period. As usual in the studio, it develops several projects at once, in collaboration with other companies. Two action films are in the early stages of development, code-named Heron and Condor. The second is believed to be related to the Control universe. And together with Tencent Corporation, which is financing the venture, the studio's employees are making Vanguard, an online shooter.
The long-awaited Alan Wake 2 is also mentioned in the report. The game passed a thorny path: after the first part was released in 2010, the creative director of the studio Sam Lake conceived a sequel, but then the project was offered to Microsoft, where it was revised, canceled, and eventually released Quantum Break. And the rejected work of the publisher formed the basis of a stand-alone addon Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Since then, there has been talk of a full sequel, but without any specifics. Finally, it is approved and will appear, according to the plans, in 2023 in the Epic Games store.
