The developers of the MMORPG in the universe of J.R.R. Tolkien's books have made contact after the Christmas holidays and announced a list of activities for gamers in the upcoming 2026. Players will need to level up their characters to the maximum level 95 on a couple of servers, celebrate local 'Lord of the Rings' holidays, and the game's 19th anniversary, which will be marked with a grand festival. At the end of 2025, the developers at Standing Stone released a major update called 'Kingdoms of Harad,' dedicated to the southern lands of the fantasy world. In the near future, small additions with content and bug fixes for Kingdoms of Harad will appear. The public will also be offered more rewards for reputation and adjustments to all classes. In February, fans of the game will be able to appreciate the 'Madness of Kings' DLC—it will include chains of story missions, raids, and user interface tweaks. For the second quarter of this year, the 'Glorious Hunt' expansion, quests, a new combat zone, and access to personal character housing in Rivendell are planned.

A special place in the upcoming schedule is the celebration of LOTRO's 19th anniversary.
