Details of the «battle royale» in Battlefield 6 revealed
The authors of the famous online shooter series are preparing to release the sixth numbered installment — it will become available to gamers on October 10. But first, Electronic Arts employees will begin testing the «battle royale» mode in Battlefield Labs. This information was revealed on the project's official website, although no dates were specified — it's possible that the main game and the unconventional multiplayer mode for the series will be released on different days. Ultimately, everything will depend on the reaction of regular users to the CBT.
What is known about Battlefield's «battle royale» at the moment?

The developers report that they are preparing a new map specifically for the mode, rather than planning to use locations already familiar to fans. At the same time, armored vehicles will be allowed for movement, and the environment will be made destructible — for example, you'll be able to break through any wall if you're controlling a tank. And those who stock up on enough explosives will be able to demolish an entire building. Matches will be squad-based: a total of 100 participants will be on the battlefield, divided into 25 groups. But the rules will remain traditional for the genre: all teams fight on shrinking terrain until the last survivor remains.
The circle that limits the battlefield is promised to be the most dangerous of all similar games — contact with its border will instantly kill any character. This means no one will be able to pull off the usual PUBG trick — stock up on medkits and suddenly attack from outside the circle. Despite the strict limitation, there will be concessions like the possibility of respawning. The traditional Battlefield classes will also remain, allowing gamers to balance their squads as they see fit. However, it will no longer be possible to change the soldiers' profiles mid-match. And to the vehicles and guns of five levels, special attacks like an airstrike on enemy positions will be added.
