Rainbow Six Siege has become even more beautiful
Ubisoft continues to experiment with the visual style of its tactical team shooter Rainbow Six Siege. This time, the developers drew inspiration from 1990s shooters: in the added modes, you can find bonuses in the form of rotating sprites, and among the rewards and collections — bright futuristic weapon and character skins. The update was named M.U.T.E. Protocol — in honor of the started event, which will last until July 14.
M.U.T.E. Protocol in Rainbow Six Siege — what's new?

The mode featured in the patch headline is a challenge where a team of operators must climb up the floors of the "Tower" map. The higher the level, the harder it is to fight, but the rewards are more substantial. For the occasion of the update, the map was decorated: to win in shootouts, heroes are helped by buffs randomly placed on each tier, and the prizes include themed weapon skins, including the "Sounds of the Future" design for the UMP45. For the R6 virtual currency, you can also purchase character skins inspired by old sci-fi shows.
The second new mode is a modified "Gun Game". The rules of such battles are well known: everyone starts with basic equipment, but as the fight progresses, they receive increasingly powerful weapons. It's the same here, except the match lasts until two wins, and the elimination of any participant incurs an attack power penalty. Two teams of five gamers compete, and the best weapon is the legendary golden hammer. It is with its help that you will be able to destroy the main target — a brain in a jar inside a protected room.
