The folks at Krafton have shared details of update 26.1 for their "battle royal" PUBG: Battlegrounds. It will include modified drones, as well as a collaboration with a popular catering chain, map tweaks including secret bunkers, and tactical gear returning after a brief hiatus. The patch is scheduled for release on October 11 for PC and on the 19th for consoles. At the same time, you can already try some of the changes by using the test server.

First of all, it should be noted that the game has returned tactical equipment, which was temporarily removed with the release of patch 25.2. It will still be available in all locations, and after collection - placed in a special inventory box. No matter how many sets you find, you can equip only one in the active slot, and the rest is enough to put in the trunk of the car, if you move around the battlefield driving. Drones now make more noise and fly at 150 meters instead of 200 meters - this is intended to make it easier to counter them. Also copters can not be launched when the character is lying down.

Among the maps, the biggest transformation was Erangel, where almost all key points were visually and functionally improved. In particular, the landscape was adapted to more free exploration by vehicle. In addition, here, as well as in other locations, there will be secret rooms and makeshift bunkers with various goodies - from now on, only in such places you can, for example, find a 4x scope with a thermal imager. And the highlight of the program will be a joint action of PUBG and fast food restaurant chain KFC. Instead of gas stations there will be kiosks where you can eat chicken and strengthen your strength before the battle.
