The Flagship Celebration Has Begun in Star Trek Online

Historically, flagships referred to admirals' ships, which the rest of the fleet looks to in battle. But in the fantastical universe of Star Trek, this status is assigned to starships paving the way for humanity in the galaxy — for example, the Enterprise. The celebration in MMORPG Star Trek Online is connected to the 60th anniversary of the premiere of the original series, which started on television in 1966: the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before" was the second in production order, but the first to air. So the date is a serious one, and genre fans can expect gifts and themed activities.

This time, filling the reward progress bar is offered through participation in the battle near Procyon V, in the activities "Azure Nebula Rescue", "Broken World", and "Better Served Cold". Also, for the first time, the battle for Korfez was added to this set — to participate in it, however, you'll need level 60 or higher. The more progression points you manage to complete, the faster you'll receive rewards. The cherry on top will be the appearances of the famous ships U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701), U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-D), and U.S.S. Discovery (NCC-1031), which can be applied to your own vessel using a special holographic device.

A new effect for space travel was also added — Slipstream. It makes flights within systems brighter and more colorful, but for this, you need to equip your starship with the corresponding engine. Also on the program are fireworks and a temporary full-size statue of your character. Among other bonuses are 25,000 units of dilithium ore, one specialization point, or a universal tech upgrade — your choice. Those who don't want to work for their victories can purchase the entire pass at once for 2500 Zen. The event will run until September 22.
