The final test of The Cube, Save Us before release
The release day of the Korean extraction shooter The Cube, Save Us by the creators of ArcheAge is getting closer, which means the developers are rushing to complete all necessary checks. This time, they have announced user testing for the game's stress resistance — both in terms of server behavior under load and in terms of combating cheaters. The Server Slam Test event is scheduled to begin on February 19, and anyone can join. Let's find out what else is known about the trial version of the action game.
Server Slam Test in The Cube, Save Us — what's new?

The goal of the upcoming testing is to find out how the software behaves under load, as the next step will be the release of the online shooter in early access. Gamers will be able to report critical errors and server stability issues directly to the game's authors using a feedback form. At the same time, the developers state that not all content will be available to the public, but only its main part — just enough for a newcomer to get to know it better within the allotted 72 hours. In the test, players will battle against common enemies and the mutant boss "Yacha," try out different types of equipment and melee weapons, and shoot cannons of several types.
The XL Games team reminds us that during the last test, the game ranked eighth in terms of online players among all available Steam demos. For those who don't remember, the action game's events revolve around a huge cube that suddenly appeared in the sky above the city. The heroes must unite in teams and explore what's inside this structure. Spoiler: inside are differently designed locations where you'll face enemies controlled by artificial intelligence and characters of live gamers. And the match rules are standard for the genre: you need to collect loot and leave the map. If your hero dies, you lose not only their trophies but also the equipment they were carrying.
