Polynesian motifs in Apex Legends

Respawn studio employees announced the start of the Ascended Hunt event, which adds dozens of cosmetic items to the popular battle royale Apex Legends, rewarding unique abilities in Wildcard mode, rewards, and appearance customization for several characters. The main activities and reward distribution will last until September 8, so those wishing to participate still have a chance to look at others and show themselves off.

The Wildcard mode appeared in the game relatively recently — in 2025, but has already become quite popular. Its features include simplified gameplay, including inventory, as well as accelerated circle shrinking, outside of which characters cannot survive. 30 heroes participate in the battle, three per team, and all can restore both health and shield charge while out of combat. The main feature of these skirmishes became perk cards — with the release of the update, their set was expanded. Now fighters have the opportunity to upgrade hip-fire and critical hits, as well as speed up shield recharge, sliding, and jumps. The longer a legend survives in a match, the more perks can be collected.

Gibraltar received golden armor, and along with him similar appearance types were given to several other heroes — these skins, including the legendary "Mad Maggie", can be found in the in-game store. At the same time, a collection of Ascended Hunt cosmetic items was added. All these items are united by a common style, combining gold and jade green. The offer will remain valid until the 8th of next month.
