Live gameplay of Subnautica 2 has been revealed

Fans of underwater adventures, it's your time. If the first part of the series was a purely single-player adventure, the second one is made cooperative: you can play on one location with three friends at once. Also Krafton company, familiar to the public by publishing other high-profile projects, promises a completely new world and unprecedented creatures united in bizarre biomes. On the occasion of preparations for the release of Subnautica 2 in Early Access, the developers released a video, where a glimpse of what awaits the public.

Both simulators of ocean depths exploration are similar in many ways. Here you will also have to settle down on a planet almost completely covered with water: build a base, extract resources, study biological species and ways of their use in personal economy. Meanwhile, the plot closely connected with the history of the virtual world will be revealed. The sequel is created by people responsible for the previous game of the series, so you can count on the same quality. Only the rules are promised to be different: you will be allowed to perform all survival tasks with a squad of four participants. But if you want, nothing will prevent you from having fun in solo mode.

New biomes, vehicles for traveling underwater and modules for building underground structures are announced for early access. Judging by the video, there will be plantations that can be placed directly on the ocean floor. Adaptation of heroes to the environment will occur by changing their genetics, but how exactly the developers will realize such mechanics, at the moment it is difficult to judge. The game is scheduled for release this year, but the exact date is still unknown.
