In the footsteps of Minecraft. Hytale releases in early access

Markus Persson's game, allowing users to do anything in a virtual cubic world, inspired many developers from different countries. Sometimes directly, as happened with the employees of the Hypixel studio. In 2015 they were working on a server in Minecraft, but decided to create their own multiplayer project in the same style, and the finances were provided by the publishing house Riot Games. After some time Hytale was cancelled, but the authors bought the rights to it from the company and continued development independently, in order to now present the result of their labors to the public.

From the perspective of gameplay and design, the novelty largely repeats «Minecraft». Heroes and decorations here are also assembled from cubes, which also serve as a constructor — from them you can assemble any objects, including mechanisms. In the virtual world of the Hypixel studio, for example, they have already assembled a computer from cubes capable of running the shooter Doom, created an automated enterprise in the spirit of Factorio and spells that work as a combination of properties of different building elements. There are indeed many possibilities here. And the other aspects will also seem familiar: a world consisting of several biomes is generated by an algorithm, there is extensive customization of any items, imitation of flora and fauna, which includes dinosaurs among other things.

Multiplayer is also provided: you can survive in cooperative mode or create opposing groups. At the same time there is also a creative mode where you don't have to fend off skeletons and worry about the character's sustenance — just creative excitement is enough. The game can only be downloaded from the official website — neither on Steam nor in any other digital stores is it currently available. The basic version will cost gamers an amount equal to 20 US dollars.
