BattleBit Remastered's first update in a year and a half

BattleBit, an independent online shooter that imitates the Battlefield series, has long been without improvements. There's even a note on its Steam page that the game's last update was released more than 18 months ago - consider it marked as abandoned. On top of that, it's still not out of early access. But the developers, as it turned out, had their own plans. And recently they announced the preparation of a major patch called Operation Overhaul. Let's tell you what we know about it.

If you suddenly don't know what we're talking about, imagine Battlefield with voxel-based, simplified graphics in the style of Stalcraft. Nevertheless, other aspects are done here in a mature way: lots of destructible environments, large maps for matches, weapon customization and a wide range of military vehicles, including tanks, helicopters and boats. Because of the long absence of major updates, users began to think that the team of several independent developers simply abandoned their opus. But the impression was deceptive - the authors of the action movie released a trailer, proving the opposite. Now the public has frozen in anticipation of the addition.

The published short teaser doesn't reveal all the details, but you can still notice some things. First of all, we can notice graphical improvements. The game in the video looks a bit more serious than it is now. Secondly, the interface will be changed. Finally, we are waiting for battles on new maps - they can also be seen in the video. When exactly the changes will be uploaded to the servers, the developers do not say. To tell the truth, their project is not doing very well now - the peak online, as well as the favorability of reviews, is steadily falling from month to month.
