The new hook is better than the old two: what has changed in Overwatch 2

The action sequel from Blizzard Entertainment is still in beta testing, but it is already undergoing major changes. Recent changes have affected two fighters - Doomfist and Orisa. Both are familiar to fans from the first part, but in the sequel, it seems, their role in multiplayer games will be a little different. Let's talk about it in more detail.

Finalizing the balance in Overwatch 2

The mechanical arm Thunderbolt has changed its class: its emphasis is no longer on maximum damage, but on resistance to attack - in other words, it's a tank from now on. Doomfist's health increased from 250 to 450, but at the same time reduced the effectiveness of weapons, including missiles. He also got the Power Block ability - a good way to temper the ardor of your enemies who attack you head-on. It works simply: the more enemies try to hurt the character with an active block, the more it will hurt after the ability is charged. The Ultimatum "Meteor Blow" was left in place, weakening this attack, but making it faster.
Blizzard team did the same with Orisa: the heroine increased the amount of health and armor strength. But if Doomfist was left at least some of the former skills, Orisa in Overwatch 2 said goodbye to the three classic abilities and got a trio of new ones instead. Energy Javelin hits and stuns the enemy, Javelin Spin hits the projectiles flying at the character and pushes opponents, Terra Surge strengthens allies, and the main gun allows you to firmly attach the foe every 3 seconds. The developers reminded that the innovations in balance are associated with the adaptation of fighters for the battle mode "5 on 5".
