It's about to get hot: the beta test date for Overwatch 2 has been announced
Overwatch 2 was announced back in the fall of 2019. Since then, there hasn't been much news about the continuation of the famous online shooter. But recently it became known that the developers plan to launch a beta test of the second part to prepare the game for a full-fledged release with the help of fans. Today the press knows about the main innovations of the project and the date of preliminary testing - let's disclose this topic in detail.
What we know about the Overwatch 2 beta test
Testing is scheduled exclusively for PC owners - other platforms will not participate. To enroll you have to fill out a questionnaire on the official site of the game, and then an algorithm will randomly determine a select few. It is noted that only those people who have once bought the first Overwatch will be able to sign up. Beta test will start on April 26, and how long it will last - is still unknown. During the test game gamers will be able to participate in battles format PvP (ie, player vs. player), while the theme of PvE is postponed indefinitely.
The main features of the Overwatch 2 beta have already been revealed. These include the "5 on 5" matches instead of the more familiar "6 on 6", four new maps and refined four old characters, as well as a brand new fighter - Sojourn. In addition, the developers introduced the "Onslaught" mode, where each of the two teams must bring the robot with the cargo to the enemy's base.
