John Cena and the aliens break into Overwatch 2

The authors of the online action movie from the company Blizzard announced the plot of the sixth season called "Invasion", dedicated to the attack of robots on Earth. The trailer even featured wrestler and actor John Cena, known to the public as the superhero Peacekeeper from the TV series of the same name. Developers say that they invited the wrestler to play the role of hacker Enigma, as well as for promotional purposes - he will not voice any significant characters in the game. As for the activities in the new season, they are worth discussing in more detail.

The season will start on August 10, but before it starts you can participate in a small event to get a themed badge, graffiti and emotion. The action of the story chapter itself will take place in three territories: Rio de Janeiro, Gothenburg and Toronto. It is these cities that are attacked by intelligent machines from the "Null Sector", and the heroes must repel the invasion in a series of PvE-missions. Several characters have already been announced to take part in them, including Lucio, Brigitta, Genji, and Captain Sojourn. They will have to fight against both regular robots like Ramattra's Omnicus and giant foes.

According to Blizzard employees, the choice of actors for these tasks will be limited, so that their inclusion in the story turned out to be meaningful. About the locations it became known that they are much larger than the standard maps for matches in the game. The developers also announced three story missions per chapter, but to participate in them you have to buy a special pass. Of the content that will be available to all for free, note the cooperative and PvP modes, as well as a new support hero.
