This fall, Palia will have more animals

The developers of the peaceful MMO game Palia, released over a year ago, have finally realized what their project was missing. Studio Singularity 6 Corporation has published its fall development plans, announcing changes in version 0.195. The «Autumn Fantasy: Of Barns and Briars» expansion will add full-fledged farms where players can not only grow vegetables in beds but also raise domestic animals. Moreover, it’s stated that each animal will be endowed with unique traits by a smart algorithm. But these are far from all the interesting innovations awaiting gamers in the future.

The upcoming update will be released on September 10. It will add animal husbandry skills and related quests to the game. Structures like barns and stables will appear, as well as fauna—chickens, cows, pigs, and other species, including bees. All of them, of course, are designed in a fairytale style. A total of 30 types of animals are promised, which can be bred on your personal estate. Additionally, any of these creatures can be chosen as a companion for traveling across the online map and shown off to other users. The architecture assortment will also be updated, featuring the Alchemist’s House—a new type of decorated building with stained-glass windows. Moreover, players will be able to invite a gardener character—they will provide several quests and help with household chores.

After «Of Barns and Briars,» the developers will release additional appearance customization options and emotions for characters, as well as planned holidays—Spiritfest for Halloween, the Winter Festival, and Lunar New Year. Work continues on refining the long-awaited co-building feature—where, for example, several gamers can build one estate together.
