In autumn, Fallout 76 will receive the "The Slasher" add-on
Bethesda studio employees announced for their post-apocalyptic MMORPG an update called The Slasher, which they consider the most unusual addition in the entire history of the project. The idea is that with the release of new content, the developers will bring back the pass for one of the old DLCs, so that gamers can get everything they missed last time. This system is being introduced on a permanent basis, and the player will have a choice of what exactly to invest the received tickets in.
How will Fallout 76 change in the near future?

The release of The Slasher is scheduled for September 15. The add-on will be story-driven: heroes will have to face another calamity and clear Appalachia of an army of fanatics, while examining crime evidence. Alongside the missions, a patch is being prepared that optimizes the game on ninth-generation consoles — such as PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series S/X. Also promised is a set of more than 80 unique types of weapons and fresh modification recipes for crafting at the workbench. There will also be boss battles and rewards, including power armor and the Super Slasher weapon. But the main innovation will be the Legacy Season mechanic, within which you can replenish your collection with items from the past.
Answering the most pressing questions about the upcoming changes, the game's authors noted that they do not plan to introduce any special virtual Legacy currency. But they will allow completing tasks of two seasons in parallel, choosing the reward using cards. There will be no changes to daily and weekly activities. Finally, if you have already collected all the past sets, the developers still advise checking the prize lists — perhaps you'll find a couple of surprises there.
