Online shooter Angels Fall First released in version 1.0

Studio Strangely Interactive announced the release of its multiplayer action game from Steam Early Access after spending ten years in it. For the occasion, the game is available with a 10% discount until July 21, and the developers have also prepared a patch with a number of fixes — in particular, the modes have been improved and a new map has been created, so now is the perfect time to return to the fantastic world of Angels Fall First or get acquainted with it for the first time. Especially since this shooter currently has very positive reviews in Valve's store.

Originally, this game was created as a modification of the famous competitive action game Unreal Tournament, but set in the universe of the space strategy Homeworld. This unusual blend of two settings appealed to the public, so the Strangely Interactive team decided to publish their creation on Steam and continue working on it as a standalone release — without ties to its sources of inspiration. For 10 years, the project was in the testing stage within Early Access, offering genre fans first-person shootouts, control of various types of vehicles, and even spaceship battles in space in the style of "Star Wars". The choice of modes and roles on the battlefields, including the position of commander, — all of this made AFF recognizable.

Specifically for the release of the final version, the developers published a trailer listing the main gameplay features. Also, a brand new map, Incursion, has been uploaded to the servers supporting matches of up to 64 participants, and the Darsalaam location has received support for a modified "Territories" mode. In addition, the update contains fixes and network code optimization. A more detailed list of changes, according to an official statement, will be announced in the coming days.
